About us
Sellgate is a cryptocurrency payment solution that allows businesses and individuals to accept and process crypto payments. We offer you the ability to create a checkout on our website and send this to your customers or customize your own crypto flow through our API.
Checkout
No. Your checkout never expires.
On Sellgate you can sell anything, ranging from virtual assets to physical services. The only limitation we put on sellers is their imagination and the prohibition of engaging in any illegal selling activities.
We recommend going with the most used cryptocurrencies based on transaction and trading volume. Those are: BTC - BCH - ETH - LTC.
Payment processing
The moment a customer goes to your checkout, an address gets generated within our system that is used to receive the payment. Once we have received the payment we will deduct our fee (1%) and send the remaining amount (99%) to the address specified in the creation of the checkout.
If a partial payment occurs, we will inform the customer that they are required to pay the entire amount to complete their purchase.
This depends a lot on the cryptocurrency and network the customer has chosen to pay with. Usually it will take between 1 to 30 minutes.
API Integration
For security reasons we do not disclose our rate limit. No one has ever hit it though.
We recommend sending small amounts of LTC. This is because the network fees on LTC are almost 0 and our system allows for the creation of checkouts with very low prices.
We do not at the moment. We are working on creating these and also encourage other developers to use Sellgate as a means to create (developer) products.
Creating a request to our API only requires a price, a cryptocurrency network/coin and an address. More information about our API can be found here: sellgate.io/docs
